All members of the CCHS Marching Band Colorguard are required to be at all rehearsals, football games, contests and occasional parades.  To be excused for an absence, students must give the band directors a note signed by a parent or guardian with an acceptable reason as to why the student missed an event.  Illness and death in the family are generally the only acceptable excuses.  As little as one unexcused absence can result in removal from the routine and possible removal from the colorguard completely.

 

 

The colorguard class will meet during school last period every other day.  During the months of August, September, October and November the Colorguard will meet after school Monday through Thursday from 2:50-4:50 PM.  The schedule will be slightly adjusted for tutorials, but will generally be around those times.  Football games will start in September and will be every weekend, usually on Fridays, through mid-November.  The Colorguard will also be required to be at the marching band contests in October and November.  A more detailed schedule of football games and contests will be mailed in July.

 

 

Over the summer, the Guard will meet on Tuesdays, times TBA.  Colorguard rehearsal begins on August x.  From August x until the August xx, rehearsal will be 8:00 am to 8:00 pm with lunch and dinner breaks.  August xx through xx is TBA.  When school starts, the schedule outlines above will begin.

• White Tops
• Hair must be pulled back out of face
  

RULES:

• Leave attitudes at the door
• Should arrive at least 5 minutes early
• Must be in the proper dress code
• NO gum or candy
• NO jewelry
• NO talking while the director is talking
• NO spinning while the director is talking
• NO cell phones
• HAVE FUN!!!!!!
• You must attend every practice, unless extenuating circumstances occur.
